Host, Founder & Executive Producer
Shelton Johnson
Founder, host, and executive producer of We Da People Network. 24-year self-taught web developer, founder of NetDreams Design, and the editor, designer, and operator behind every drop. Built the show he wished existed — out of a basement studio he wired up himself, fully self-funded.
Shelton runs We Da People. He founded the network, hosts the flagship podcast, executive produces every episode, edits every cut, designs every thumbnail, and is the one who makes every drop happen — booking, business, partnerships, all of it. The whole project is self-funded, top to bottom.
His path here started in tech. 24 years building software, founder of NetDreams Design (his own development studio), most of his career on the heavy side of large-scale web projects. Self-taught from day one. Add in a real background in design and an entrepreneur’s appetite, and you get the version of him that built this brand.
The pandemic in 2020 redirected the lane: outdoors, range time, real instruction. The deeper he got into the 2A space, the more he saw the gap — the community he trained with wasn’t getting real input on the media space that was supposed to cover them. So he built a place where they did.
The studio is in his basement. Set up out of necessity, wired up the same way he built everything else — figure it out, ship it, keep going.
That’s We Da People.
