Social Media Manager
Run the network's voice across IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and the Discord. Turn 90-minute conversations into 60-second moments that actually move.

We’re an independent 2A media network with the culture in mind — grown audience, built around real conversation. The flagship show drops weekly and the back catalog is full of clips that should be living a second life on social. We need someone to own that — not just schedule posts, but actually make the network’s social presence feel like the network.
What you’ll own
- Short-form video. Pull moments from every long-form episode, cut them, caption them, and ship them. IG Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts. Volume matters; so does taste.
- Captions that hit. No corporate copy. No “Tag a friend who needs to hear this.” Write like a person who actually watched the episode and has something to say.
- Posting cadence. Daily across IG and TikTok, weekly long-form on YouTube, regular drops in the Discord and Facebook Group.
- Community. Reply to comments. Notice who shows up. Loop the hosts in when something deserves a response from them, not the brand account.
- Content calendar. Coordinate with the producer on episode releases, guest spotlights, event promo, and merch drops.
- Light reporting. A short monthly read on what worked, what didn’t, what to test next. Numbers matter, but not the vanity ones.
What you bring
- You can edit short-form video yourself. CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci — whatever you’re fluent in. We’re not handing you raw footage and waiting six weeks.
- You understand the 2A community. Or you’re willing to learn it deep. We’re not “tactical-bro” and we’re not anti-2A. There’s a real space in between and it has its own language.
- You write in the brand’s voice, not yours. Confident, grown, no posturing. Read a couple of our episode descriptions; you’ll know what we mean.
- You ship. This isn’t a “let’s circle back” role. We move weekly.
What we’re not looking for
- AI-generated captions. Tools are fine; output that sounds like ChatGPT is a hard pass.
- Agency engagement-bait playbooks (“Comment ‘GUN’ to learn more!”). Our audience can smell that from a block away.
- Schedulers. We can buy a tool. We’re hiring a person.
Logistics
- Type: Contract to start, with a path to ongoing if we click.
- Hours: Roughly 15–20/week for the right person. Asynchronous; one weekly call with the producer.
- Location: Anywhere in the US. Bonus if you can get to a meetup occasionally.
- Comp: Let’s talk. We pay fair for the right person.
